Happy 2nd Birthday, Ivey!

Two years have flown by for us!  It seems just like yesterday we were at the hospital awaiting the arrival of our little angel.  Since she has added so much "color" to our lives, it only seemed fitting that we celebrate her two year birthday with a crayon party!

Invitations came in a crayon box with all the information wrapped around the crayons...

Our family and friends were greeted with a beautiful wreath made by Ivey's Aunt Brookie...

The birthday girl was so excited about her big day...

The party door was adorned with this gorgeous wreath that our friend, Connie, made for the special event... We can't wait to use this for future birthdays!

What's a party without a cake - or maybe 4!  MawMaw once again outdid herself with this cute-as-a-button cakes that matched our color theme!  The insides matched, too.  Chocolate, white, and confetti cake was just what this party needed!

The food tables were ready for everyone to enjoy... We had taco soup with chips or potato soups with garlic cheese biscuits.  Of course, the condiments were color coded. =)

A little fruit to make us all feel better about the cake... =)

The kids' table was ready to go with their very own place mats and crayon hats!

The adults weren't left out, though.  Construction paper place mats and boxes of crayons made for easy setup and take down!

The birthday girl had been so excited about wearing her tutu for weeks... Now she finally got to wear it!  Our little princess!

The kiddos loved the butcher paper in the middle of the floor to color on.  Good for us... the easiest activity (with basically no cost)!

A crayon/color party would not be complete without some fun little crafts... So we made nifty necklaces out of colored pasta that the kids wore for the party!

The other really fun craft we did was making our own crayons!
Each kiddo put their choices of cut-up crayons into mini cupcake liners and we melted them while the party was going on.  At the end of the day, we put them in a Ziploc bag with the label "Thanks for adding color to Ivey's day!"  These then went home with each kid in their favor boxes.  They had a blast making these!

Ivey was cheesing it up at lunch time!  Don't know how much she actually consumed but I guess on a day like this... that really doesn't matter!

Present time was a lot of fun.  For the most part she understood what was going on... however, several times she was more interested in running and playing and coloring than actually opening her gifts.  Thanks to everyone who brought a gift.  Your presence was present enough but Ivey really enjoyed all of her gifts!

A special surprise that couldn't be wrapped... a Betta fish from Aunt Brookie!
Later that night, Ivey decided on the name "Tutu" for her new fish.  I guess with all the colors, he does look a little like her tutu!

Time for cake!  Boy... just doesn't seem real that this is TWO YEARS!

Blowing out the candle!

So blessed to have grandparents and our Great-MawMaw Berry at our party with us!

Thanks to all our friends who came to join in the big day! We were so glad you all came!
