Valentine's Weekend

Time to brag on my hubby...

 

For Christmas/Valentine's, Kyle gave me a weekend getaway to Mentone.  It was so much fun and relaxing.  We left Ivey Ann with Kyle's parents Saturday morning and headed to Rome, GA, for a little shopping and a movie.  We even splurged for popcorn and drink - which we never do. =)

 

 

Then we headed to our evening destination - The Raven Haven.  It was an adorable bed & breakfast on the backroads of Mentone.  Our hosts were super sweet and made our entire trip relaxing.  We stayed in the Queen Anne room because Kyle knew that I always loved canopy beds... the room was just perfect!

 

After freshening up and taking a little nap, we headed for dinner at a little bistro where our hosts had made reservations for us. It was so cozy and yummy!  However, upon our return back to our room we found our covers pulled back with chocolates and a sweet handwritten note.

 

Plus, there was the most heavenly chocolate cake with a chocolate covered strawberry left in the refrigerator for each of us.  Absolutely delicious!  Breakfast was on the same level - perfection!  There was another couple even younger than us there and made for great conversation!
