Not only did we have a family cookout this past weekend... the weekend was packed with other activities! We started off with going to Colby Allen's first birthday party! He is the first child of my cousin Brittany. We enjoyed being able to be a part of this joyous day in their family! Isn't he an absolute cutie???
Not so sure he was ready for some kisses from Ivey Ann...
MMM!!!! Ivey's favorite - CAKE! (Chocolate at that =))
All the cousins that were able to come to the party!
He is getting so big! Just beginning to walk!
After the first party and a short nap in Momma's arms... Ivey was ready to move her cool self on to the next party...
My other cousin Suzanne has two children. Mattie Kay (her oldest) turned 4 and had a luau party to celebrate. This was filled with lots of outdoor activities for the kiddos!
Ivey Ann never got in the pool but she loved splashing her little hands in it! Wyatt doesn't look like he is having as much fun, though.
Mattie Kay, the birthday girl, showing off her hula hoop moves!
Ivey had never played with sand before. She was mesmerized by it and continued to shovel it ALL over herself!
That little tongue sticking out means she is concentrating... needless to say, it stayed out the entire time she was playing in the sand.
Ivey trying to figure these things out!
Oosh she said.... cold!
Trying to catch the squirts of water...
Every kid got to dress up in Hawaiian items. Ivey Ann was rocking her sunglasses, lei, and grass skirt that MawMaw cut to fit her just right. Isn't this adorable???
MawMaw made a customized cake for Mattie Kay (along with three other cakes - imagine that, right?). One of the other cakes was a Barbie doll cake wearing a grass skirt...
On Sunday, we spent some time with family before fireworks that night. Ivey is really cheesing it up in this picture of her with MawMaw and PawPaw...
Ivey Ann absolutely loves her Nay Nay (Aunt Renay), Tason (Carson), Kaylan, and Uncle Stephen...
This is a little different than last year on the 4th...
Sunday afternoon we played and just enjoyed our time! We made a quilt tent for Ivey to play in...
We had a wonderful weekend! We are so blessed to have family that we can spend holidays with and make great memories. Ivey will one day look back on these times and have fun memories all her own just like I did as a kid! God has been so good to us and this weekend was just a reminder of how blessed we are...
