Each year Mom and Dad have a big New Year's Eve party at their home. Last year, I had to miss it because we had some health concerns while pregnant with a certain little girl... and my lovely family ended up bringing New Year's Day to me (2010). So I was excited to get home! Ivey was in rare form to welcome in the new year. She started by cleaning out her Daddy's sock drawer while we tried to get packed and ready...
Ivey had to show me where her eyes were...
New Year's Day was yet another tradition... the Putman family gathers again for hog's jowl, black eye peas, turnip greens, and all that other good country cooking... Ivey and Garrett are beginning to play more together. Here they are cleaning out the toy box for MawMaw and PawPaw...
Ohh... what's that Garrett??
Little munchkin...
The kids thought MawMaw needed some house cleaning done...
Uncle Brent & Garrett serenaded us with their rendition of "Rocky Top."
Reading with Aunt Becky... get a load of Ivey's hair!!! We had just finished bath time and it was everywhere!
Uncle Stephen had to take a phone call outside (cell service is bad there)... Garrett and Ivey wait patiently on him to come back and play...
Ivey's favorite food over the weekend... Hot Fudge Cake! In this picture, she had a hold of the spoon and wouldn't let go! I know where she got the sweet tooth gene from...
It was very exciting to start our new year off with our little girl! Happy 2011 to everyone!
